Maximum ammeters - BA and BE series are destined to measure the averaging RMS value of a a.c. current, in a 8 or 15 minutes’ period.
An additional red pointer, displaced by the black pointer, shows the maximal current value which occurred from the last zeroing of the meter indication. The applied bimetal movement is especially useful when measuring the load in power line, of generators, electrical motors and others, where important momentary changes of load occur.
- with bimetallic movement - BA series,
- with bimetallic and moving-iron movement - BE series,
Moving-iron meters EB16 type are destined to measure a.c. current or a.c. voltage. They measure the true RMS value of a.c. voltage or a.c. current.
